TBH I think I've only seen five episodes of FG outside of the Star Wars parodies. There is an overlap between people who have seen Sinbad play a genie and watch Family Guy and American Dad, but there are thousands more that have never watched a single episode. Not every country sells them, they have their own brand of peanuts, so they would be a Johnny come lately and although they might be a bigger brand domestically, abroad they are small fry. Like newsflash, I first saw them for sale in 2018 and have not seen them since that day. ![]() This is like when people go "you are thinking of Planters Peanut's mascot" when it comes to the monocle in Monopoly. But I truly came from a timeline where that movie existed. If I hadn’t had that conversation with my brothers I would probably say I’m just misremembering or confused. First Kid, Aliens For Breakfast, Houseguest. Can’t really remember the plot of any of them. Sinbad was a fuckin national treasure to children in the 90s. None of us can remember the plot of the movie anymore it’s like it’s mind wiped. ![]() ![]() So the weird thing is, my brothers and I (all 3 of us) remember watching Shazam, a genie movie with Sinbad in it, and never watching Kazaam because it seemed like a knock off at the time and Shaq wasn’t an actor or anything so it seemed too cheesy.Īll three of us remember having the conversation at Blockbuster. How can it ever compare to Sinbad’s Shazam? What a rip off! My brothers and I saw Kazaam on the shelf one Friday night and we were like no way I don’t wanna see that movie. My parents would pick a movie, and my siblings and I would pick a movie. In the 90s, my family went to a magical place called Blockbuster every Friday night.
